Chicken A La King (Filipino Style)
Chicken a la king is a chicken dish consist of cubed chicken in a creamy sauce, this can be cooked
with or without sherry or white one.
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo boneless chicken breast ( cubes)
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 green bell pepper (diced)
1 red bell pepper ( diced)
1/8 cup flour
1 onion
2 gloves garlic
1 cup water
1/4 cup fresh or evaporated milk
1 cup Nestle cream
1/8 cup butter
1 cup pineapple (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
Procedure:
1. Pan fry chicken until brownish then remove the chicken and
set aside.
2. In same pan. Saute the garlic and onion.
2. Add the mushrooms and bell peppers then stir until soften, add the flour and stir for 2 minutes then
add the water and milk then continue to simmer until almost boiling.
3. Add the chicken, salt and pepper to taste then simmer until everything is cooked.
4. Add the Nestle cream then simmer for a minute and turn off the heat.
5. Serve hot with rice or bread..

Chicken Afritada
Chicken Afritada Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken, cut into serving pieces
- 1 large potato, quartered
- 1 large carrot, sliced
- 1 large bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup green peas
- 1 can small liverspread
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 pieces hotdogs, sliced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 1/4 cups chicken broth or stock
- 2 pieces dried bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon granulated white sugar
- 4 tablespoons cooking oil
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Cooking Procedure:
- Pour-in cooking oil in a cooking pot or casserole then apply heat.
- Pan-fry the chicken until the color turns light brown (about 3 minutes per side).
- Remove the chicken from the cooking pot.
- On the same cooking pot, sauté garlic and onions.
- Put-in the sliced hotdogs and pan-fried chicken then cook for a minute.
- Pour-in tomato sauce and chicken stock then add bay leaves. Simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Add the potato and carrots then simmer for 7 minutes or until the vegetables are soft.
- Put-in the bell pepper, green peas, salt, sugar, and ground black pepper then cook for 3 minutes more.
- Turn-off heat then transfer to a serving plate.
- Serve with steamed rice. Share and enjoy!

Pork And Tofu in Cream
Ingredients:
1/2 kl pork meat diced
1 cup tofu diced
1 medium green bell pepper
1 cup cream
4 tbsp oyster sauce
4 gloves garlic
1 medium onion
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp butter
1/4 cup oil for frying
Procedure:
1. Heat oil pan fry the tofu and after that the pork until light brown. Set aside.
2. Heat pan and put butter. Saute garlic and onion.
3. Add the pork and tofu, and green bell pepper. Simmer for 2 minutes.
4. Put oyster sauce and cream. Simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Stir.
6. Serve. Share and enjoy!
Ampalaya Con Carne
Ingredients:
1/2 lb pork sirloin, sliced into thin strips
1 large bitter gourd (ampalaya); cleaned and sliced
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 medium-sized onion, thinly sliced lengthwise
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup water or more if necessary
5 tablespoons cooking oil
Procedure:
1. Combine pork, soy sauce, salt, ground black pepper, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Mix all the ingredients until
evenly distributed and marinade for at least 1 hour.
2. Heat a frying pan or wok and pour-in 3 tablespoons of cooking oil.
3. When the oil is hot enough, pan fry the marinated pork in medium heat until the outer part turns medium to dark brown (about 3 to 5 minutes per side).
4. Add water and simmer until the pork is tender.
5. Heat a separate pan or cooking pot then pour in the remaining 2 tablespoons of cooking oil.
6. When the oil is hot enough, sauté the garlic, onion.
7. Add the sliced bitter gourd and stir fry for 5 minutes.
8. Turn off the heat and transfer to the pan with the tender pork. Stir and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more.
9. Transfer to a serving plate then serve.
10. Share and enjoy!
